Q: My feet are too wide for most shoes I like. Can you adapt a current style so that it will fit me?
A: Yes. After taking your foot measurements, we alter last or shoe form, so that it completely accommodates your needs, whether those are wide feet, high arches, bunions, etc

Q: How long will it take for my shoes to be ready?
A: Generally, it takes about a month. However, if you need your shoes for a certain date, please inform us at your measurement session and we will work with that date in mind.

Q: How much of my time will it take?
A: After the initial measurement session, you will probably need to come in for at least one fitting before your shoes are completed. These fittings rarely take more than twenty minutes, and two fittings is the average before completion. They can take place here at Rotering Shoes or at a location more convenient for you.

Q: How do I come up with a style I like?
A: That’s the fun part. Browse through magazines and wander through stores. Look in your closet. You can be as vague or as specific as you like, and we will help you develop a look that is uniquely yours.

Q: What do I bring to my first consultation?
A: Your feet. As far as socks or stockings, wear whatever is compatible with the shoe you would like to have made. That way, when we take measurements, we are measuring the most likely width of sock. Other than feet, please bring any resource materials 1ike. Clippings and photos of styles you like and styles you don't like help us to create the look you want.

Q: Are there any restrictions on style or colour?
A: We are only as limited as our imagination as far as design goes. There is a wide range of coloured leather available, and it is quite likely you will find something you like. The beauty of custom work is that you really get to explore different styles and colours. Make it personal!
